My first Blog

Today I'm starting my first blog. Wow, I never thought in a million years that I'd be doing this. One of my girl friends mentioned that she started one and it got me thinking. Why not!! So, today was crazy as usual. I got up at 6 am. Went to take a shower before my daughter woke. I had to get up early just to shave my legs. Is that sad or what? The reason I do these crazy things is that my daughter gets into everything when I'm not around. Her new fascination is with sticks of butter and her daddy's lunch meat. You'd think these things were candy for her. I can't seem to hide these food items anywhere in the refrigerator. She always finds them. Let me tell you, butter was everywhere today. In her bed, hair and of course the dogs. What a mess!! Then she decides she is going to get into some sparkles that I had hidden away. You know, the sparkles you use in craft projects. She thinks they look tasty. So she eats the green sparkles. It was soo... funny. Her teeth were shinny green. Okay, one last event. She decides she is going to put lipstick on with a permanent marker. That was fun to clean up. I think raising a child is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. It requires such patience. Sometimes I think it was easier going to work everyday. Don't get me wrong. I love being home with her. Sometimes she just totally wears me out. Maybe I'm to old to have a toddler. My mom was a single mom and raised me and my sister alone. I'll never know how she did it. She is the strongest person I'll ever know. I wish I had her strength and courage. Hears to you mom!!! Well, it's official I've finished my first blog posting. I'll have to start posting some pictures of the butter ordeals.

  1. Good job on the Blog making! But you are so wrong about a toddler being hard you just wait for those teen years and you will wish for these days back. At least you know where she is now.

  2. I totally agree with B Boys Mom! You know that I have a teenager AND a toddler... trust me, toddlers are so much easier! Sure, they do crazy things that may upset you at first, but then you always have sweet memories to look back and laugh at! The teenagers on the other hand... LOOK OUT! It's harder to see the comedy when they're older and screw up! Enjoy that precious little bug while she's still innocent!
