The Rainbow Fish Book Review

I love to read to my daughter. Every night before bed we read 3-4 books. Sometimes more if mommy has the energy. My daughter loves books. I'm also a big fan of children's books. It takes me back to when I was a kid. I remember my parents always reading to me. It's so important to read to your kids. Plus it's a great way to get in a snuggle and spend some quality time with them. To encourage parents to read to their children I'm starting a children's book review section. Enjoy Mom and Dad!

The Rainbow fish
By: Marcus Pfister
Publication Date: September 1992

Beautiful pictures that sparkle like a rainbow illustrate this international award winner. Rainbow Fish thinks he has everything because he is beautiful, but he soon realizes that he’s very lonely. None of the other fish will talk to him because he won't share his beauty with them. He learns that it's nice to share and when you share you make friends. (Ages 4-6)

I loved this book. It teaches kids that sharing with your friends is very important and it's not nice to be selfish. I also loved all the fantastic pictures. I'm going to give this book 4 out of 5 star rating.
