If You Were A Little Girl In The 1970's and 1980's

IF YOU WERE A LITTLE GIRL IN THE 1970's AND THE 1980's

You had rubber boots for rainy days and Moon boots for snowy days.

You thought Gopher from Love Boat was cute (admit it!)

You learned everything you needed to know about girl issues from Judy Blume books

Your Holly Hobbie sleeping bag was your most prized possession.

You had either a 'bowl cut' or 'pixie', not to mention the 'Dorothy Hamill'.
People sometimes thought you were a boy.

You completely wore out your Grease, Saturday Night Fever, and Fame soundtrack record album.

You wore friendship pins on your tennis shoes, or shoelaces with heart or
rainbow designs.

You often asked your Magic-8 ball the question: 'Who will I marry.
Shaun Cassidy, Leif Garrett, or David Cassidy?

You had subscriptions to Dynamite and Tiger Beat.

You had a pair of Doctor Scholl's sandals (the ones with hard sole & the buckle). You also had a pair of salt-water sandals..

You had the Donnie and Marie dolls with those pink and purple satiny shredded outfits, or the sunshine family.

You owned a bicycle with a banana seat and a plastic basket with flowers on it.

You drowned yourself in Love's Baby Soft - which was the first 'real' perfume you ever owned.

  4. I was a kid in the 60s and a teen in the 70s but I remember a few of these as a kid. Good T13!

I may do something similar for my next week's T13. I was trying to think of what.

    This was fun. Thanks!

My T13 for this week is prescheduled to go up at 12:01 AM EST tonight.

  5. When I saw the subject of your T13, I just knew that Holly Hobbie would be on the list. :-)

It's ironic that you put up a pic of Leif Garrett. On my way to work, I was listening to a mix CD I made that has "I Was Made For Dancing" on it.

  10. Yes to the bike, the Holly Hobbie (but it was a comforter) and the magic 8 ball. For the others: never had rubber boots or moon boots, I had long hair, eeew on Gopher, I've never read any Judy Blume, I haven't seen Grease, Flashdance or Saturday Night Fever and I never did friendship beads or wore perfume.

Hope you can catch up on some sleep this long weekend coming up. I read your profile and you said you were always tired, I remember that feeling with my toddler! (if you can try some natural source vitamin B in the morning with breakfast, it might help especially if it's a natural source)

    Cheers,
