Are You Ready For The Big Change In February Of 2009
The big change is fast approaching. On February 17, 2009 all full-power broadcast television stations in the United States will stop broadcasting on analog airwaves and begin broadcasting only in digital. This digital change will improve picture quality and offer more channels to TV viewers. We are finally prepared for the change after improving a few things with our TV set up. We ordered our coupons to purchase our converter boxes. These coupons are worth $40.00 each and you are allowed 2 per household. We saved $80.00 on the boxes, which were only $60.00 a piece. The boxes ended up costing us around $20.00 a piece. So order your coupons It's totally worth it. We also did some research and found out that we could keep our old antenna on the roof to pick up the new HDTV signal. We simply had to update the antenna wire and hook the TV up to the convert box. Then amazingly we had digital TV. The picture is fantastic and I can't believe how many extra channels we can pick up. Of course if you have recently purchased a new HDTV then there is no need to purchase a converter box. The new flat panel HDTV's being sold already have the digital turner included inside the set. Are you ready for big change in February of 2009? I'm sure glad I made the switch. I hate to miss all my great TV shows.

We have old TV's but we have Directv so I guess we don't need to do all that stuff. I'm so glad.
ReplyDeleteThe channel 7 that I watch had a streamer on the bottom of the screen today saying that they are dropping part of their analog on Nov 3 and if you live on the outskirts of their viewing area you might not be able to pick it up with the antenae
