I've had my blog for a little over a year now and I can't seem to get a Google rank? What's up with that? I've researched how to get ranked by Google and followed all the suggestions. I've signed up for tons of blog directories, added links into my sight, commented on many blogs. I've even checked on my Google analytics and implemented the suggested Google codes into my template and submitted a site map, but still no Google rank. Google is crawling my site and Google analytics says everything is running as it should. Maybe I'm doing something wrong or missing something. Any suggestions guys? Help! I'm in desperate need of some advice. I would love to hear any and all suggestions. I would be happy with a one ranking from Google at this point.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Thanks for taking time to by my site today.
Have you registered your ULR with google? There is a place on google to directly register your site with them. I did that for my OSL site and have a rank. Need to do the same for TAG...
ReplyDeleteOk so I went back into Google Analytics and verified my TAG site and it is now showing 0 for 10. My OSL site is a 3 of 10 and I never used google analytics for it, just registered the ULR. So I have no idea what to tell you!!!
ReplyDeleteoops...2nd try, first time didn't work-
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle,
I've done all of the things you did but no page rank for me either. Sorry for being clueless - but I'm sure some PC-savvy bloggers will come along to help you!
Meanwhile, I'm having a giveaway on my blog. You are very welcome to enter!
have a great Sunday,
Duni
I don't have one either :( I will be interested in any good suggestions you receive!
ReplyDeleteI can't understand how to install Google Analytics so I haven't done it yet. I want to cry too.
ReplyDeletemy blog got PR2 last Dec and I didn't do anything abt it, but now, i'm back to zero and still didn't do anything at all. i guess google is the only one that understand how PR works.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could help but I can't get mine up either. Thanks for your sweet comment today.

Hmmm ... I don't know anything about this ... but I do have Alexa Rankings showing up on my computer for folks I visit ... and yours says 132,596 ... considerably better than the 505,982 ranking at Small Reflections that used to be in the 380,000 but seems to have slipped ... perhaps because they changed the criteria or I've not been posting as regularly??? Hope you get it figured out ... and when you do, perhaps you can explain it to me ;--)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Do I need one? I am clueless.
ReplyDeleteI'll be checking back cause I can't get mine rated eiher!
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly were you doing to try to get ranked?
ReplyDeleteI comment ALOT. I also joined a bunch of directories. I've been blogging for 4 months. When I started checking various stats in December, my blog was worth $0.00, my Alexa ranking was in the 2 million range and I didn't even know how to find out my google page rank. Now my blog is worth over $37,259.64 (wanna buy it? LOL!), my Alexa is 92,131 and my google page rank is 1. I really have no idea what thing I did that made such a huge difference, but I did join a ton of directories.
I don't have one either....I will keep checking back here for tips though!
ReplyDeleteI'm also waiting to get a google rank, but my blog is only 1 month old so I guess I can wait. My daughter got a page rank 1 from google and she owns her domain, so maybe google is discriminating against the free blogs like blogspot.
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm of no help here. But it looks like you have some great comments to help you.
ReplyDeleteI think I am a page rank 1 I am pretty new to that whole blogging thing too, but I think you need to add tags at the end of your posts and to ad adsense (even just one tiny little box) to your site and when you are signed into blogger, open another tab go a goggle search for the title of your blog and then you can find it and hit promote (a little up arrow) so also get you noticed. Then you can also search terms that might bring up posts and promote them up to the top too.
ReplyDeleteI hope that helps you a littte.
Do you ever do posts that you get paid for doing? If you do that Google doesn't like that- and they have ways of finding out- and they will either take your PR or not give you one.
ReplyDeleteIf you're interested I can tell you how to ask Google to reconsider the PR they gave you. If you want the link, let me know.
