I signed up for Facebook a few months ago only because a few of my friends were pressuring me. So I caved. I'm so glad that I did. I've really enjoyed hooking up with old grade school and high school friends. We've all been exchanging old photo's. It's been so much fun. Of course I look like such a nerd in elementary school, but then again who doesn't. It's hard to believe that was over 27 years ago. One of my friends posted a photo of us girls from prom in 1988 and then another photo of us girls again at our 20 year class reunion from this past October. It's the strangest thing that it's the exact same people in the picture. What are the odds? Gosh, what a difference 20 years makes. See for yourself.
These were my peeps in high school. Class of 1988 Senior Prom (I'm the 2nd on the left with the huge hair) Gotta love that pink puffy dress.
1988 20 Year Class Reunion (I'm the one in the red blouse 2nd from the right)
Note to self: Never die your hair a day before a huge event. What a terrible die job. My hair is dark brown, not reddish blonde. Yuck!

Thanks for taking a walk down memory lane with me.

I am so addicted to facebook. I need 12 step program. Did you know you can have your blog automatically imported to the notes. When I get tagged on Facebook I use it for blog content and then it gets imported into my notes so my friend who tagged me can see it too.
ReplyDeleteOkay I actually stopped by here to say Congratulations you won my Chocolates give away

ReplyDeleteI just got on Facebook last weekend.
ReplyDeleteThose are great photos. And your hair wasn't the biggest in the photo!
I love Facebook too! It sarted out with college friends and then spread to the HS crew and now many family members including my aunt who is like 68! Too funny! Love the 80s do by the way! I plenty of those pics from the 80s! Wonder just how much of the ozone we killed with all the hairspray? LOL!
ReplyDeleteWho didn't have big hair in the 80's lol. Gotta laugh at the hair color thing... do you understand now why I just gave up and went white?
ReplyDeleteI love facebook too! I lost contact with more friends than I realized over the years. It's been fun getting a peek into what they have been up to and reconnecting with them. I'm especially enjoying the pictures from back in the day when...I can't believe that I wore those clothes or did some of those things.
ReplyDeleteThose were great photos! Thanks for sharing them with us!
ReplyDeleteI recently joined facebook too and I love finding all of my old friends.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures! And your hair looks great!
i love facebook too and how i was able to hook up friends from high school and college! :)
ReplyDeleteand thanks for sharing your pics too...
I love those pictures, how fun! I recently joined Facebook as well. I'm still getting used to it, but have enjoying getting into contact with friends I had way back in first grade!!! P.S. Thank you for the comment on my blog - I love Golden Retrievers!!!! There is an award for you on my latest post :)
ReplyDeleteThe hair back then was insane to keep up. I keep thinking to scan in my prom picture but have not yet done it...
ReplyDeleteI am on there too. I run hot and cold with it. I usually don't have enough time to keep up with it.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Facebook has been a lot of fun for me, too. It's hilarious to see pictures people have dug up!
ReplyDeleteAnd that would be why I'm not doing Facebook! Love the 80's dresses and big hair!!!
ReplyDeleteI also signed up recently with FB after much prodding from my sister. Your hair color doesn't look bad, at least it's not pink. LOL I think you should have your hair professionally colored if you're going to an important event, then you don't have to worry about messing up. :o)
ReplyDeleteoh facebook! *giggles* a friend introduced it to me way back but then i didn't really think very much of it .. now though, it's a WHOOOLE different story! facebook truly is addicting ! *lolx*
ReplyDeletebtw .. found you on EC and decided to drop by ! :D
Yeah while I do like catching up with old friends I just didn't like how busy it was and like being able to write more and control what the page looks like; hence: blogging!
ReplyDeleteYou guys looks so pretty! :D I love your pink prom dress.Sweet!
ReplyDeleteI think you and your friends look great 20 years later. I caved on the facebook thing too. It is fun.

ReplyDeleteI love reconnecting with old friends - and finding those other people and laughing at how they turned out.
Facebook got you, huh? My dh joined a couple of weeks ago. He's had more to do with his family in that time than he has in two years because of it.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! I haven't signed up for facebook. But I have a friend who has a profile there.
ReplyDeleteI am on Facebook too- it's addicting and so fun to catch up with people I have lost touch with. Love the pictures. I have my 20 year in August of this year!
ReplyDeleteThe coin always has two faces; One face is catching old pals, whereas the other one reminds us that we are getting older :P
ReplyDeleteNice blog indeed :)
