Capturing Those Special Moments In Time With Photography

My sister is a huge photography fan. She's been in school learning the photography trade and she now takes some amazing pictures. My current camera just took its last picture and I've been on the look out for a new camera. I'm at a loss as to what brand camera to buy. She mentioned that her photography teacher recommend canon digital cameras.  I've read the reviews on Canon cameras and they're great.  These cameras have some great options and are easy to learn to use.  Sounds like this is the camera for me.  I hate being without my trusty camera.  Especially since we have a six year old and I don't want to miss a moment in her life.  The best way to capture those special moments in time is with photography.
