Isn't it true that home is where the heart is. I used to believe that, but lately living in our little apartment I find myself day dreaming of owning our own home again. This little apartment just doesn't feel like home just yet. I've got all kinds of plans roaming around in my head lately. I miss the days when I had my own vegetable garden and my own lawn to mow. The thing I miss the most is all my beautiful flower gardens. I've decided when we purchase our next home that I want an amish gazebo to accent all my other landscape. Living in a climate where it's warm all year round really has it benefits when it comes to plant life. I've been looking around at our local nursery's and I've found that I can get some really amazing breeds of tropical flowers and plants. I'm really looking forward to getting back to my flower garden hobby.

I'm sorry to say my new found job didn't work out. It was a very strange atmosphere and I'm not going to get into the problems at this workplace. I decided it was better if I looked for greener pastures. Plus my little gal is going in for surgery sometime in the next few months. Mommy will be the one to take her to all the doctors appointments and be with her during all the heal time. Maybe after we get through her eye surgery I'll start looking for another job again. I do have to say the work force down south is so completely different then the workforce back in the mid-west. To say the least I'm very disappointed at the attitude of employers in this new place that we call home.

Time For Some New Work Supplies

If you refer back to my previous post then you know that I started a new job today. It's a company that produces vitamin products such as health food drinks and vitamins. It's a very interesting business and I have so much to learn. One area that I thought was really interesting was the shipping and receiving area. There are so many boxes to load and unload. I may just have to pick up my very own Martor USA box cutters. It seems like every employee is carrying a box cutter in their pocket. I was surprised to even see the accounting staff equipped with their own box cutter. One great thing about this job is that everyone dresses so casual. When I say casual I mean t-shirts and jeans. This type of job is a first for me. I can't wait to see what the future holds for me in this type of industry.

The New Job

Well, I started the new job today. I'm still undecided as to how I feel about this place. I thought that going back to work would be a big plus for my self esteem. I'm not really feeling it. Everyone was for the most part nice at the new job, but way to busy to stop and train me. I think out of the five hours that I was there I might of got an hour of training. Which really wasn't much. The rest of the time I sat in a small office alone reading my book and playing with my phone. I'm not sure these people know what there doing. So basically I got paid to sit on my butt today. Not too bad for a first day of doing nothing, but I sure would of like to have some work to keep me busy. The day was just way to long. I'll let you all know how it turns out.

I have to be honest that 2011 has been a difficult year for myself as well as my family. Even though it's been a difficult year we've all seem to come out of our hard situations stronger individuals. I'll be glad to see the end of 2011 and I'm looking forward to a brighter 2012. My husband I have so many new and exciting life changes to look forward to and we have started a new life in a new home and a new state. These have been very exciting changes for us and I'm looking forward to what the future holds for us. I want to send my warmest new years wished out to all my family and friends this year. We recently moved down to Florida this past summer and I'm loving every minute of it. I can't get enough of the warm weather and sunny days. Living so far down south I've come across some really unique skin care products that I just love using. Plus I want to make sure that I protect my skin from the Florida sunshine. One great product I came across is called deadsea salt. I've noticed by using this wonderful product my skin is really starting to look amazing. The salt does a great job exfoliating, nourishing and softening my skin. I wish I had found this product years ago. I can't wait to see what other great skin care products I come across.

We've got a huge party planned for our new years celebration. It's amazing that it's almost going to be 2012 and we are going to start a new year of hopes and dreams. Our party this year will take place on a beach located on the Golf of Mexico. I've even found some great cigar specials for the guys at the party this year. The hubby is so excited to hand out his cigars to his friends this year. It was great seeing family and friends this year, especially since many of my family members have moved out of state for new jobs. It was so much fun catching up with everyone on Christmas day. My younger sister has been working hard for years to get her photography business off the ground. Our little one got so many fun gifts from Santa this year. In fact she got so many gifts from our family this year that she doesn't know which gift to play with first. One gift that mommy can't wait to dig into is a jewelry making kit. The little one and I just love making jewelry. We've even started our own jewelry beads supply box. We've made some really awesome looking bracelets for my little one's friends and a few nice looking key chains for mommy and daddy. Jewelry making is such a great craft for both the young and old.

Our visit back home for the holidays has been awesome. We've had such an amazing time with family and friends this year. I'll be happy to head home back to warm weather, but I'll sure miss my family. A few years ago my husband and I were trying to get our home improvement business off the ground, but unfortunately it was a huge challenge in itself. We tried taking out an unsecured small business loans to get the business up and running, but that venture didn't go as planned. We decided to put the loan on hold because there just didn't seem to be enough home improvement work for us in our state of residence in order for the business to be successful. We haven't given up on our dream of owning our own business. We've just put it on hold for the moment with the hopes of trying the venture in a few more years. I finally landed a job last week. I'm so happy my search is finally over. My first day will be on January 5th of the new year. It looks like I'm going to be learning lots of new skills and using many of my old accounting skills. Plus I'll be doing a lot of scanning of important documents for this company. I'm so glad that I have a little experience with document imaging software. I'm a little nervous yet excited all at the same time about starting this new job. Wish me luck.

I really do have such an amazing mom. She's sixty five years old and still going strong. She still works at her chosen career as a nurse. She walks five miles per day and leads a very active life style. She's also still in school for her continuing education. I'm a lucky girl to have such an amazing mom. Plus having a nurse in the family really has its perks. She's walked me through many medical problems in my life. Recently she just renewed her Medical Liability Insurance. I bet having a policy like this really gives her great peace of mind. I sure wouldn't want to be a medical professional and not have some type of liability insurance. Though the last few months she has been talking about retiring. She would really like to start enjoying her retirement years and I don't blame her. My little sister has decided to sell her home of eleven years. It was a hard decison to come to for her, but I think it's the right decision. She's been working hard trying to get the old place into shape. She's been painting, washing walls, cleaning carpets and trying to make the yard presentable. She noticed this past fall that she has a terrible crabgrass problem. She told me that she really needs to invest in a quality crabgrass killer. I hope that she'll be able to whip her house into shape before next spring when it's due to hit the market. My cousin recently just moved to North Carolina and in the process purchased a new home. She and her family are so excited to move in next week. Living in an apartment really has some perks. We love that we don't have to repair anything such as a roof, flooring, appliances, etc. There is no lawn or garden for us to maintain. The best part about living in an apartment is that we have a pool to use everyday. The pool comes in handy, especially since we have a seven year old to keep busy. She loves her nightly dips and it helps her to sleep at night. My brother in-law recently just purchased a home located in Texas. This home came with a built in pool. To say the least I'm very jealous. I hope our next home comes with our very own private pool. The previous owner of the home had let the pool maintenance go, so the pool needed tons of work. The first thing my brother in-law decided to do was to have a new pool fence houston installed. He said the fence looks amazing and he's glad that he finally had it put up. I can't begin to tell you all the great deals out there in the housing market. We've started looking around and have checked out the area around our little ones school. We are going to try and keep our little girl in the same school she presently attends. We've picked out the two areas that we really like and have started our search. Most of the homes we have looked at need some type of handyman work. We've got so many great remodeling ideas floating around in our minds. Many of the homes in Florida don't come with carpet due to the humidity factor and mildew growth. We've decided to look into quick step laminate flooring. Loving Our New Home

It's been over four months since we moved into our apartment and I'm loving every minute of it. We live in an awesome neighborhood and the scenery is just breath taking. It's wonderful to wake up to sunshine and palm trees every morning. I couldn't ask for anything better. There is one down side to our spacious apartment though. We were suppose to have hardwood floors according to the apartment office, but they felt that the carpet in our apartment was still good to use. So we ended up with beige carpet. Beige carpet is not a good combination when it comes to owning two dogs and having a seven year old running around. In the four short months that we have lived here our carpet is already starting to look rough. My cousin who lives in North Carolina came across an amazing company carpet cleaners chapel hill nc. She loves them and said they do a fantastic job. I'm thinking about having our carpet cleaned professionally and I just hope I can find a company as great as the one my cousin came across.

The holidays always make me think of my grandparents. It was always such a big deal to spend Christmas eve with my grandparents. I have the most wonderful childhood memories to cherish forever. My grandfather has been gone for over twenty six years now and there is not a day that passes that I don't think of him. My grams passed away five years ago and I miss her every day. With the holidays right around the corner I seem to catch myself thinking about them a lot. The last years of my grandma's life were very difficult. Not only for her, but for our entire family. She had many health problems and her health seemed to decline at a fast rate of speed. I have to give special thanks to all the nurses and doctors that so kindly took care of her and helped out with all her medical needs. She was eighty nine years old when she passed, so to say the least she had a hard time with many things in her life. She really had a hard time when it came to wetting the bed. It took us a month of holiday shopping, but I think we finally accomplished all of or gift buying for our family. There were some amazing sales out there this year and I'm so glad that we started shopping early to take advantage of the great deals. Though I have to say the crowds were a little crazy this year. I'm very pleased that most stores in our neighborhood have started offering a barcode scanner for customers to use. Packing Up The Truck

I've been going through all of my old jewerly and I've decided to try and get a little cash for it. Now I just need to find a place that will buy gold. It's looking like we are going back up north for the Christmas holiday. I'm really looking forward to seeing my family and a few select friends. The hubby and I have been on the hunt for a new wedding band. My hubby's current wedding ring isn't the type of ring that you can wear everyday, especially since my hubby is in the construction industry. We've been to several jewerly stores, but haven't quit found the wedding band we are looking for. Where do we find that perfect men wedding ring? We're not giving up yet. We've still got a few more stores that we want to check out. It's such a huge purchase that the hubby just wants to make sure he gets the ring that he has been dreaming about. I know, it's been a while since my last post. I've been one busy mama lately. With Christmas coming up fast I've been out in about shopping and getting our little home ready for the holidays. It's strange for me to think that Christmas is only four weeks away. Now that we're living in a climate where it doesn't snow, it just doesn't feel like Christmas to me. Don't get me wrong I'm completely enjoying all of this beautiful weather and I really don't miss having a snowy Christmas, but it's just not the same.

We had an amazing Thanksgiving even though we didn't do our usual large family gathering. We had a nice quiet dinner at home and invited some of our new friends over. Fun was had by all.

We've decide at the last minutes to head back north for Christmas this year to be with our family. We weren't sure we were going to make the long trip due to a few job applications I had submitted, but it looks like those jobs were a bust for me. So I'm back out look for a new opportunity. Actually last night I was offered a job right out of the blue. We went to the mall to purchase a new mattress and the manager at the store offered me a sales job. I was completely flattered, but I'm just not sure that I'm cut out to be a sales person. Anyway, I'm off again today to do some more Christmas errands. I'm all about spending money and getting a reward back for doing it. That's why I love our current credit card. Everytime I go out and spend money on gas and groceriers I get a little something back. Christmas will be here in about eight weeks. It's hard to believe that soon it will be 2012. This year we are packing up and heading home for the holidays. It's going to be a long trip home, but so worth it. I'm not looking forward to seeing the snow again, but I'm looking forward to catching up with my family. I'm at a loss as to what to buy for Christmas gifts this year. We only buy gifts for my mom, sister and of course our little gal. Since we've moved to Florida we've managed to miss most of the severe weather. I'm sure a day will come that we'll be face to face with a hurricane. I've talked to several people that are natives of this area and they insist you don't evacuate until the hurricane gets to be a category 3 or more. I'm not looking forward to the day that we do have to evacuate. Though the weather service does notify you several weeks in advance before the hurricane hits. I'm just hoping that if we do have to sit through a strong storm that we are safely inside a steel building. I guess it's a price you have to pay for living in paradise.

It's always such a nice thought when you get remembered by that someone special. It always puts a smile on my face when my hubby brings me home flowers, candy or even just leaves me a sweet note in the morning before he leaves for work. This past sweetest day the hubby thought of me by leaving me the most beautiful arrangement of flowers on the kitchen table from Pro Flowers Stockton . When I woke up that morning that was the first thing I set eyes on. Wow, what a wonderful surprise it was for me. Thanks sweetie for making me smile.

Home Living

My little girl started in a new school this past August and we are really happy with her progress. The hubby and I really like the school and all the teachers. We've decided once our lease is up at our current apartment that we are going to either purchase a home of our own or we are going to look into homes for rent. We really want to keep her in her current school. It was so hard for her to start over at a new school this year and I would hate to see her go through that again. Fingers crossed we can find a home close enough to her school. We've been looking at nearby homes and have come across some great prospects. We have ten more months on our current apartment lease. Hopefully by next August we'll be in a house again. It will be welcome change for all three of us.

For living in a paperless society I sure seem to have a lot of paper that I need to file each week. A few years ago I went out and purchased a bunch of file cabinets to store all of our important paperwork in. I thought for sure I had a handle on all the incoming paper I was receiving each week. Now it seems that I've run out of room in my handy storage cabinets. I've been thinking about looking into document management from Dokmee.net. What a great way to organize and keep all your important papers in a safe place. Plus just think about all the room you'll free up at home. I'm really looking forward to getting rid of all my file cabinets.

How The World Has Changed

It's crazy to me how the world has changed in the past ten years. Technology seems to advance at warp speeds and sometimes I have a hard time keeping up. I've noticed since we've moved to Florida that the medical community functions a little different then it did in Michigan. Each and every appointment I've made here they require you to receive your new patients forms via email. Then they expect you to complete the forms at home and either fax them back to the office or scan and send by way of email. Some places require the paperwork back before you can even make an appointment. I'm so thankful that we purchased our scanner a few years ago and I figured out how to do document scanning. If I hadn't had this scanner I would have to find a place to scan and send back my paperwork. Especially since I don't own a fax machine and don't plan on making that type of purchase. It's nice to have this type of technology handy.

It's been a year since we sold our home and I can't begin to tell you how much I miss being a home owner. There's nothing like owning your own little piece of heaven. We've been living in an apartment for a year now and it has sure been a huge adjustment having people living on both sides of us and right above us. I remember when we owned our home we purchased this beautiful solid oak front door with the most amazing window to complete the look. I fell in love with the way the door completed the house. I remember thinking that every time someone scuffed their foot on the bottom of the door I could feel myself cringe. I've decided that the next home we purchase that I'm going to make sure and add a door kick plate to each and every entry door. I'm really looking forward to owning our next home. Graduation is such a huge accomplishment in anyone's life. I remember like it was yesterday when my little one graduated from kindergarten. It was such a big day for our little gal, and a bigger day for mommy and daddy. Of course our parents came to see their first grandchild's first graduation and they were all beaming with happiness. This year my brother-in-law will be graduating with his masters degree, with plans to go on with his PhD degree We are all so very proud of him for his hard work and all his accomplishments. I mentioned to him that I feel he should have a huge party to celebrate these achievements. He told me that it sounded like a great idea and that he plans on invited the entire family. It's that time of year again where you begin to see all those fun festivals come to town. Next week there is a huge festival coming into town that my family and I plan on going too. There is suppose to be amusment rides, food stands, games and so much more. Our little one just can't wait to play all those fun games. There is also going to be many booths with local companies advertising and I'm sure they'll have tons of Trade show games to play and prizes to be won. For me the best part about attending these fun events is the happiness that floats through the air, and of course all the yummy food that I get to eat.

Halloween Is Fast Approaching

Halloween is a huge holiday in our household. We all can't wait to go out and pick out that perfect costume each year. This year my little gal is going to be police officer. She's so excited and can't wait to dress up for the night. She's been wearing her costume every night this week. The hubby is going to be a scary ape man and for me I'm just not sure yet. I went window shopping last week and came across a really cute witch costume, but I think I'm going to have to look into those corsetts, so I can squeeze myself into the costume. The hubby and I have always wanted to own and run our own little business. It hasn't happened yet, but we haven't' put aside that dream just yet. I've often thought it would be fun to open up our own bar and grill. It would be so nice to be your own boss and make your own hours. Though I've heard that when you own your own business in the food industry you put in long hours seven days a week. I was told by a close friends who own he's own bar and grill that getting a Restaurant System established is a good idea. The hubby and I have different ideas when it comes to owning our own business. I like the bar and grill idea, and he would like to own his own construction company. A Little Piece Of Paradise

Last weekend we got to take our boat out on the ocean. It was amazing and scary all at the same time. I've only been out boating on the ocean two times before this, so it was a welcome trip. We stopped at a little island getaway that we found on our way through the canal route to the ocean. Wow, such a fun place to just hang out for the day. People pull up on the beach with there boats and just enjoy the day. On the opposite side of the island is a beautiful beach that is completely empty. It's like you have your own island paradise to come to each weekend. I can't wait for our next trip to this little piece of paradise.

Once a year the hubby and I run our credit report to make sure everything is looking good. It's been almost a year since our last check in, so it's time again. It's amazing to me how much financial information is all stored on that little report. It's so important that you make sure that the credit companies are reporting your financial status correctly. If there are negative things on your credit report that you don't know about it could affect you from buying a car to getting approved for a mortgage. We've been looking into buying another home and we have to have the best credit possible in order to get the lowest interest rage on a new mortgage. So we've been paying down those pesky credit cards and cleaning up our financial portfolio. We're hoping for a really great interest rate once we apply for that new mortgage.

Sticking To My Exercise Routine

Since our move to a warmer climate the hubby and I have been taking advantage of the great weather. We've both have taken up walking to get some exercise. Last week we took a two hour hike and it was the best walk ever. I'm starting to think since we have been hicking so much that it's time to pick up a set of Leki Poles. Having poles would sure make going up those steep hills so much easier. It's such a great way to burn off some steam and get some exercise all at the same time. I'm really enjoying our walks together. If I can stick to this exercise routine I'm hoping I will lose some weight in the process.

Most of family is from down south and we usually visit once a year for a little vacation. The past few years we've been going down more often due to my aging grandparents. The past month I've been on the look out for a new job. It's been seven years since my last job and I'm a little nervous about working again. I quit working after my daughter was born back in 2004 and became a stay at home mommy, which is a career in itself. I applied for three jobs last week and I'm still waiting on a reply. It's sure slim pickings when it comes to jobs these days. So slim in fact that I've been thinking about going back to school to brush up on my job skills. It's so nice to have our own place again. For about a year we were renting from my mom and that was beyond words hard. We're enjoying our little apartment, but I wish that I could of moved more of our things from back home. Our apartment is small and we just didn't have the room. Most of our belongings are currently in storage. Hopefully in about a year when we purchase our next home we'll be able to move the rest of our things to our new residence. Since I couldn't move as many things as I would of liked we are running short on lamps. Our apartment seems to be a little on the dark side. Hidden Treasures

My grandma passed away about four years ago. There isn't a day that passes by that I don't miss her. After her passing the entire family had to clean our her home, which was packed full of sixty years worth of treasures. Some of these treasures included pictures, fine china and the most amazing treasure was a collection of old coins. I found the coins to be very interesting, so I ended up taking up the hobby of coin collecting. There is so much history in just one little coin that you'd be amazed. The next item I'd like to add to my collection are some morgan dollars. I've been saving a little each month and I'm hoping to have enough by the holidays. I've often wondered how much my little collection is worth, though I don't think I'd sell it because they belonged to my grandma. Maybe someday I'll have the courage to go get an appraisal.

Since we've moved to Florida we've been spending a lot of time at the ocean. It's such an amazing place to visit and watch nature take its course. The other day a pod of dolphins swam right past us while we were swimming. It was a fantastic site. We are planning on going snorkeling in Key West in December and I would really love to buy one of those fun underwater cameras. Just think of the beautiful underwater pictures I could take of all those tropical fish. I can't wait for our trip. It's been almost eight years since our last underwater adventure. It's been almost thirteen years since I married my hubby. We've spent almost half our lifes together. It really doesn't seem like it's been that long. Time sure does fly by at warp speeds as you age. Moving to a new city and a new state has definitely had its challenges. For me the biggest challenge is learning to maneuver around a new area. I'm so thankful that the hubby bought me a GPS. It's the best gift I've ever received in my life. I'm slowly learning my way around this new town.

We finally got our health insurance situation under control. All three of us our officially covered for a medical emergency. That's a huge relief for us. I've recently established a pediatrician, an eye glass place, and religious education for our little girl. She seems to be settling in and enjoying her new friends and school. It's good to see her smile again. This move from Michigan to Florida was extremely hard on our little gal. Now I just have to find an allergist and dentist for her. Then on to finding doctors for the hubby and I. It's amazing that at 41 I feel like we're starting all over again. Everyday gets a little easier though.

The weather has been amazing. I've started taking long walks with our dogs in the mornings. I'm up to 1 mile now and hoping that I'll lose some weight with the new exercise routine. We usually take our family vacations to Florida. I never thought that I'd actually live here. I feel like we are still on vacation and it's time to start heading home. My goal was that once we were retired we'd find a little condo down here and vacation here in the winters. I guess my plans got bumped up about 25 years.

The hubby is really enjoying his new job. He's home by 4 pm every day and there are no layoffs. It's amazing to get a pay check each and every week. I'm hoping there is some type of advancement for him in this new company. He's been promised a foreman position in a few years. Which means a big raise. Yippie! I'm still looking for employment, but there doesn't seem to be much out there. I'll keep up my search and hopefully find something I like. I think I might apply at our local zoo, which is only a few miles down the road. That would be a dream job come true for me. Especially since I'm such a huge animal lover. The hubby and I now have to buy or own health insurance. To say the least it was sure a confusing topic when it came down to buying a policy. After purchasing our plan I have to say that I do feel a little more knowledgeable in the subject of health insurance. New Place And New Rules

It's amazing to me how different it can be living in a different state. Even though we are in the same country it's a world of difference. Since moving from Michigan to Florida two weeks ago I've noticed so many differences in the life style. For example while driving a motorcyle in Michigan it's a law that you have to wear a motorcycle helmet, though motorcycle boots are optional. Here in Florida it's not a law that you have to wear a helmet. My choice would be to wear a helmet, but everyone has their own personal preferences. It's always amazing to me how hot it is down here and you'll see people wearing jeans and long sleeve shirts. It's almost like the heat doesn't bother them one bit. I guess I'm just used to living up in Michigan where we get way too much snow and the temperatures are way too cold in the winter months.

Since we've moved into our new place there's a million things that we need to buy. We are running low on bath towels and bed sheets. I can't remember the last time I purchased anything new in the home section at our shopping trips to our local retail store. I've decided that I'm going to check out Sferra bed sheets and bath towels. I've been putting off by the bed sheets because we have a king size bed and sheets can be a little pricey for the king size. Though it looks like Sferra sheets are a great price. Well, it's been almost two weeks since we moved into our little apartment. Wow, is apartment living a huge change for us. It's especially hard having our two dogs with us, but things seem to be falling into place slowly but surely. I'm still exhausted form the move, but keep on plugging away. Our little one is falling into the routine of school again and seems to be enjoying her days with her new teacher. Once I get some of my energy back I'm going to dive into looking for a job. Though it looks like our little gal is going to have to go into day care in the morning and afternoon. She starts school at 8:20 am and is out by 2:50 pm. We finally made it to our Florida destination this past Sunday. It was a long trip, but we're here and that's what counts. We are trying our best to settle in. Time To Finish Our Antique Furniture

Once we get settled in our new home I'd like to finish restoring our old antique furniture that we've picked up at flea markets over the years. To be honest it's my husband hobby. He loves to restore old furniture to it's original beauty and I love to watch him work his magic. He recently just mentioned that he needs to pick up some new hand abrasives to complete our daughters dresser that has been sitting in the garage for over a year now. He wants to strip the old stain off the dresser and finish it with a light oak stain to match her bedroom set. I'd love to eventually do our bedroom in the old cottage style furniture. I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished results.

By this time next week we'll be living in Florida. Once we get settled I'm going to be out and about looking for a job. I think I'm going to put my accounting skills to work and look for a job in business debt collection. It sounds like a challenging and exciting line of work to get into. I've never done collections before, so it'll be an entire new field of work for me to learn. I've come across quite a few jobs in Florida for this type of position, which I feel is a promising sign. My mom has really been getting int her new yoga class. She's had some back problems in the past and say's these classes have really helped her manage the pain in her lower spine. I'm so happy that she's taking care of herself, eating healthy and exercising. I can't tell you how proud I am of her accomplishments. In fact I'm so proud of her that I went out and purchased a sunshine yoga mats. I surprised her with it last week and she was so excited. Our truck is packed and ready for our big move. It's so loaded full of stuff I'm afraid the rear end might touch the ground. I'm starting to think we need to look into can am commander accessories. Well the big day has finally arrived. Tomorrow we're packing up and heading down to Florida. It's going to be a long journey. We've got a moving truck packed full, which will be pulling our Camry on a car trailer. Then we have our pickup truck which will have our waverunner in the bed of the truck, and attached to our truck hitch will be our boat. Yes, it's going to be a long drive and we're all going to need to be patient. Our friends from Florida have come up to help us with the book move. Looking For That Perfect Job

I've started looking for a job. I'm a little nervous about getting back into the job market. It's been almost seven years since I've been out in about in the working world. The wildest thoughts are going through my head right now. Did I forget all my accounting skills. Will they hire a forty one year old? Are they going to look down on me because I havent' worked in seven years. I think I've stayed pretty much up to date when it comes to my business skills, but I am going to have to figure out how to complete conference calls for business. I don't regret staying home with my little one all these years. These have been the most enjoyable years of my life. I'm so glad I made that decision to stay home way back in 2004. Though now I'm looking forward to entering the work force again after all these years. It'll be nice to have that extra income come in every week.

It's Almost Football Season Again

Football is such a huge favorite in our household. We love love watching the weekend games on the TV and just hanging out spending family time together. A couple that we are friends with is sending their oldest off to college courtesy of a football scholarship. The parents are so very proud. We are so happy for their sons success. They're having a going away party for their son next weekend and we've been invited to the festive event. I'm thinking about getting him a football gift as a going away present. I'm just not sure exactly what type of football gift to get yet. The hubby and I are planning a shopping trip this weekend to see what's out there in a football theme. It's going to be a fun weekend. So the new journey begins a week from today. Next Friday we'll be packing up the truck and heading to Florida for a new and exciting journey. I have to be honest I'm excited and yet a little scared all at the same time. School will already have started the week we arrive in Florida. They start a few weeks earlier then where we live now. I'm really looking forward to moving into our new home. The best part about this home is that it sits on 1.5 acres out in the country. The area that we are renting this home in is in an area we would like to purchase our next home. It's beautiful country and it was love at first site for me. It's Time For A New Washing Machine

We do tons of laundry in our home. My hubby is a mechanic/construction worker. So there are always lots of greasy dirty clothes to throw into the machine. I bet you we do ten plus loads of laundry per week. Since we do so much laundry our old dinosaur of a machine is on its last load. The other day it started leaking all over our basement. I'm not sure if it's the machine or we need to pick up a new industrial rubber hose. What ever the case we really need to stop this terrible leak. I hate to go out and spend money on a new machine when we could just fix our old washer. Though I'm really impressed with those new front load machines that are out on the market today. I love that they have all those fun laundry options.

We are planning our big move to Florida in a few weeks. So we need to make sure our vehicles are in tip top shape. My truck seems to be running great, but the hubby's car needs a new water pump. Florida Here We Come

Good news to report. My hubby took a job in Florida. It's a little more money and no lay off time is expected. Plus you can't beat the great weather. It looks like we'll be moving in a few weeks. We have some friends down in the area we are planning to move to that are coming up to help with the move. What great friends we have!! This was a bitter sweet decision for me because I really didn't want to live so far away from family, yet I will love living in the tropical climate of Florida. We've already rented a house and found a good school district for our little girl to attend. School in Florida starts on August 22nd, so she'll be starting a little late this year. Wish us luck.

Next month we will be celebrating my aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary with a huge surprise party. I've even found a great place to shop for 50th anniversary gifts for him & her. My mom is the one who's has been planning for the big day and has booked a beautiful hall that over looks a peaceful looking lake surrounded by a forest full of wildlife. She's also invited a hundred guest, which include family and my aunt and uncle's closest friends. It's going to be a fun filled day and I can't wait to celebrate with them.

Fun In The Summer Time

This summer has been so busy with graduation parties, barbecues, and get together's that I can't keep up. It has been great seeing all of our friends and celebrating with family. We've also been using our boat more often this summer then last. The only complaint I have it that I wish I had lost a few more pounds before the summer season. I should of tried to find a diet pill that works fast. My weight loss goal was to lose an additional fifteen pounds on top of the already twenty that I lost last year. I guess it's time to get to business and really start my diet again. Hopefully in about six months I can brag about my additional fifteen pound weight loss. Wish me luck.

More Care Repairs

Even though the hubby and I both have leased new vehicles it seems we always have some type of maintenance that needs to be completed. Most times it seems it's tire rotations or oil changes that need to be done. We've been looking into purchasing one of those automotive lifts. What an amazing piece of machinery this lift is. Who ever thought of this design is a genius. In my opinion this lift is so much easier and safer to use then ramps. My hubby works in a shop and repairs heavy machinery and uses these types of lifts on a daily basis. He can't say enough good things about these amazing products.

Learning About A New Sport

My sport of choice is ice hockey. I love the sport and never can seem to get enough. Lately though I've been getting into wrestling. My friends son is on a wrestling team and I went to my first wrestling match a few weeks ago. It was really an exciting match to watch. The team even had some really awesome looking wrestling singlets. My friends son's team ending up winning the wresting match and in celebration of the win we all went out to a fantastic dinner. What a great night it was to enjoy a new sport and the company of friends.

Hot And Getting Hotter

Our weather yesterday was a steamy 102 degrees yesterday and there seems to be no end in sight. Don't get me wrong I love the hot weather, but yesterday was crazy. It looks like we're going to get a two day break next week and then back up into the 90's we go. I guess this is a good opportunity for me to get use to hot weather if we plan on moving to Florida in the next few months. I really shouldn't complain because in my opinion the heat is way better then dealing with the cold and snow. So, how hot has it been in your part of the world?

Better Days Ahead

It's amazing that it's been almost one year since the hubby and I sold our home. Things have been so much easier for us emotionally and financially. I have to be honest that I miss our home, but I feel we made the right decision to sell our beautiful piece of property and move into a smaller place with a smaller rent payment. Since we are doing so much better financially we've decided to look into buying life insurance online. It's been about five years since we cancelled our previous life insurance policy. Having our own life insurance policy always gave us such a huge piece of mind. So, it's time to starting looking into a little more security for our life and our daughter's life.

This coming up September will be my little girls seventh birthday. She'll be starting second grade this fall. It's amazing to me how fast she has grown up and how much she has changed this past year. She's reading, spelling and doing all types of math problems. I'm so proud of her. She's also getting into more and more trouble these days too. She loves to sneak into our food pantry when the hubby and I aren't looking and help herself to all kinds of goodies. I'm starting to think we need to get a video baby monitor to keep on eye on her activities. I used to think it was a lot of work when she was first born, but now I think it's way more work since she began to walk.

It's been almost eight years since I was pregnant with my little girl. Wow, how time passes by. It's hard to believe that it's been that long. I remember when I was pregnant I really had a hard time finding cute maternity outfits to wear to work. I was out shopping the other day and noticed that there are so many new maternity clothing styles to choose from now. I wished my maternity outfits had looked that sharp eight years ago. I have to be honest I sure would love to add another bundle of joy to our family. If that miracle did happen I'd get a chance to try out all the new maternity clothing styles out.

Which Fork In The Road Do I Take

It's starting to look more and more like my hubby is going to have to take a job in Florida that was offered to him this past May. He's current employment is looking more and more bleak by the the day. These are sure scary times that we live in. The new job is located in Naples, Florida. It's such a nice area and I'd love to live in a warmer climate. The only problem I have is leaving my family and living so far away. It's sad that in this day and age we can't find a job in our home state. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out for us.

I Need A Money Tree

Lately it just seems like the bills keep rolling in. I've been having some health issues, so there seems to be those few extra bills each month now. I seem to be able to keep up with the on going expenses, but sometimes I sure would just love to have a money tree growing in my backyard. Last month was pretty tight for our check book and I was thinking that it sure would be nice if the hubby would get an early payday advance. That would sure ease the stress on our pocket book until the next payday comes around. Hopefully next month will be a little easier for us. I'm hoping our medical expenses don't get to crazy for July.

The First Step Is Always The Hardest

When I was a child growing up there wasn't a diagnoses for children that seemed to be just a little bit overactive or had a hard time focusing on a task at hand. Today thanks to our modern medicine they have discovered this disability is called ADHD. My husband was just recently diagnosed about a year ago. Once he was diagnosed it sure did explain many things to me. Especially his problem of lacking that ability to multitask or focus on one thing for a long period of time. For example it takes him forever to read a book. We've been together for over fifteen years and I have not once seen him pick up a book just for reading pleasure. Reading an entire novel takes way to much focus for him to achieve. He's not quit ready to get on medication yet. Which is okay too. Everyone copes in their own way.

One of my girl friends, who also has ADHD, recently just told me that she's decided to check out one of those ADD ADHD Drug Treatment Centers. She's been struggling with her ADHD and also an anxiety disorder. In order to cope with her anxiety she's been taking a lot of prescriptions to relax her. She feels she's taking to many medications and has decided it's time to get some help. I'm so proud of her. It takes a big person to admit that you have a problem and seek out help. I'm keeping her in my thoughts and hoping she's successful in her recovery.

About fifteen years ago I purchased a money clip for my hubby. I wasn't sure he would even use it, but to my surprise he loved it. He used that money clip each and everyday and eventually got rid of his old wallet. That money clip got used so much that it eventually fell apart. My hubby has been looking for a new money clip ever since. He hasn't yet found the perfect one, so I suggested checking out a m clip. This handy little keeper looks so sharp and stylish. I know he'd love one. These m clips also come with a great price tag that everyone can afford. So I think my mission for the upcoming weekend will be to pick out a new clip out for the hubby and surprise him with it.

Yippie Schools Out

It's that time of year for long warm summer days and no school. Today we start the first day of summer vacation. Our little one is so very happy. It was also nice to sleep in this morning. That is if you count 8 am as sleeping in. My little ones school has sent home an eight week course of home work. At the beginning of the school year she is suppose to hand it in to her new teacher. If she completes the entire eight week program she'll win a special medal. She seems so driven for the metal. She even started her summer home work a week early. I think it's great that the school has the kids participating in this academic program to keep their minds sharp over the summer break.

Computers Are A Necessity In Life

The hubby and I are huge computer geeks. We love our computers and anything to do with technology. He has his own desktop computer and I have my own laptop. It seems like we do everything on line from paying bills to checking the weather. I'm not sure what we ever did without computers. Computers are definitely a necessity in our life's. The hubby has been having a few problems with his desktop. It's quit old and I think it's time for a new updated machine. I have an Acer laptop and just love it. So we've decided to check out the acer desktops. I can't wait to get our new computer and play around with the new technology.

New Opportunities

Well it's looking more and more like I'm going to have to go back to work. I've been looking out for that perfect job opportunity, but nothing has really struck me as interesting. The hubby was just offered a job down in Florida, but it comes without health insurance. That means that we'd have to buy our own policy, and boy are policies expensive. He's still employed here in our home state, but he's been laid off for over six months and next year isn't looking any better. I guess I'm going to have to start power shopping for a new job for myself. The times we live in our sure scary. I just wish the ecomony would pick up soon. Wish us luck.

Working Out

I've really been adding to my workout routine and it seems to be working for me. Now that that our weather has finally warmed up I can get back to taking my daily walks. I've also been taking my furry friends along for a little exercise too. They seem to really enjoy our long journeys. I was also thinking about adding a post workout supplement to my diet to increase my energy levels. It's always a good idea to take vitamins while eating healthy and exercising. I've also decided to start swimming at our local recreation center. The entire family has decided to join in on this fun. Plus my six year old just loves swimming.

She's Getting Her Own Sense Of Style

When I started this blog my little gal was only three years old. Now she's going on seven years old and heading off to second grade next fall. It's amazing how fast time passes. I wish that I could slow it down a bit. I really enjoyed her toddler years. I've noticed lately how she's trying to find her own sense of style. It's the most adorable thing. Lately she's really enjoying hip hop clothing. It's so fun to watch her shop and pick out her own clothes. It just makes me relize how much she's grown in the past year. I guess my baby is growing up.
