Learned Something New on my Camera

My sister is in college taking photography. She is always talking about what she learned on her camera. Half the time she's talking I think I'm day dreaming. You know, in one ear out the other. Well, I think some of the stuff she is talking about actually rubbed off on me. I guess I was listening after all. Yesterday I sat outside with my 3 year old and went crazy taking practice shots. I think I've finally got the aperture thing down. I was so excited. Though most of the shots aren't that great so I'm not going to post any today. Once I get some better pictues I'll add them to my blog. So stay tuned. I'm just so happy that I finally learned something on the camera other than how to put the dial on auto. My next step is to learn about the shutter speed. I'm thinking I need to purchase a book on photography that might help guide my way. Speaking of camera's. I was at Best Buy last week and of course had to take a peek down the camera isle. I was looking at the Nikon D40, D60, D80 and then I fell in love with the Nikon D300. It runs around $2,500.00. It's an amazing camera. If only I was rich and had money to throw away. It was nice to dream just for a minute. I'm seriously looking at the Nikon d80. Another great camera. This camera is more in my price range. Maybe next year when we get our tax return I'll think about buying it.
