Resurrecting The Champ Movie Review

Rated: PG-13
Run Time: 100 Minutes

Ambitious sports reporter Erik (Josh Hartnett) discovers that a local homeless man named Champ (Samuel L. Jackson) was once a famous boxer, long presumed dead. Erik digs deeper into the fascinating story and becomes friends with the down-and-out former star but soon uncovers several disturbing questions about Champ's background. Champ's tale also prompts the reporter to reexamine his own relationships with his father and his son.

Resurrecting The Champ was a fantastic movie based on a true story. Samuel L. Jackson who played the Champ was fantastic as always. Josh Hartnett was truly amazing in his acting skills as he portrayed the focused sports reporter. This movie really plucked at my heart strings. I really enjoyed watching it. Out of a 5 star rating I'm going to give it 4.5 stars.
