Camping In The Living Room

I think camping in the great out doors is so soothing for the soul. It's so peaceful to just get in touch with nature. My husband begs to differ. He's just not the outdoors type when it comes to camping. Though he does like to fish and hunt. I don't really agree with the hunting. I'm a huge animal lover and it just rips my heart out when I see these poor little animals hunted. I just try and keep my eyes and ears closed when he takes his hunting trips. My #1 rule is no dead deer are allowed to hang any where near my home. Yuck! I just can't handle seeing Bambi hanging in my garage. LOL!! For the most part my husband respects my feelings about the entire hunting thing. Thank God!! My husband and I have been together for 12 years. I've only been able to get him to camp with me one time within those twelve years. That camping trip included a pop up camper that had some of the amenities of home. We definitely weren't ruffing it. I don't think that trip was very enjoyable for him. Though he never did complain. Well, last night he decides he is going to set up our 2 people tent that my mom bought me for Christmas about 7 years ago from Cabellas. Of course it's never been used. I just hang on to it in the hopes that we'll use it someday. The hubby had a plan to camp out with our daughter for the night. Wow!! I was shocked! We live on 1 1/2 acres with a fantastic fire pit in the back yard. I thought they would set up camp in the back yard. Oh no, not the hubby. He had no intentions of camping outside on a beautiful summers night. He decides he is going to set up this tent smack dab in the middle of our living room and so he did. He had all the comforts of home and never had to leave his castle. Silly husband! Our daughter was so excited about her first camping trip even though it was in our front room. It was so adorable to watch her roll around in that big tent. Good thing I kept the tent so my family could camp in front of the TV. LOL!

  3. We have recently got back from a terrific period camping trip
in the French Alps with my family in our Cabanon Trailer Tent.
I just can't cope with the thought of attempting to sleep in a disgusting conventional hotel when I could possibly get in the fresh new environment.
