Seeing Life In A Whole Different Light

Today NASA and the US military are using a more advanced form of LASIK surgery called iLASIK. This form of eye surgery is being used to improve the sight of military personnel. These people have demanding jobs and are dealing with high stress situations. They need the best eye site possible in completing their jobs. NASA and The Department of Defense feel that iLASIK is a safe and effective surgery to improve the site of their employees. This LASIK technology uses two lasers instead of one. One laser was used in the earlier form of this type of surgery. Step one of the surgery includes the mapping of the patient’s eye by wave-front technology. This technology pinpoints the patient’s unique characteristics of their eyes. In step two a computer-guided laser makes a corneal flap. Since a computer completes the procedure it makes the surgery extremely safe compared to the older procedure, in which a hand held laser was used. After the creation of the flap, the wave-front mapping information guides the second laser in correcting the vision. The statistics for success in this amazing surgery are extremely positive. Out of 100 military employees 95% came out of surgery with 20/20 vision or better. 100% of Naval personnel who had the surgery would recommend this surgery to other Naval personnel. If you have been thinking about having iLASIK surgery, you have nothing to worry about. Wouldn't it be great to see life in a whole different light, and not have to worry about corrective lenses? If your interested in this type of surgery you should look into LASIK information.
