Cold Season Is Upon Us

The cold season is slowly slithering its way into our homes. My little one had a runny nose last week and this week I have a sore throat. Yuck! I'm just hoping that I get over this cold fast. A few years ago we went on a long awaited vacation to Vegas. Not more then 24 hours after our landing I came down with a cold, which turned into pneumonia. It was terrible. I was stuck up on the 22nd floor of the luxurious Bellagio hotel with a 102 fever and having problems breathing. Yes, it was no fun. I should of purchased travel medical insurance before our trip because I really needed to be in the hospital. I remember seeing the fear in my husbands eyes. He just didn't know what to do with me. I'm glad that I've never been that sick since that trip. I still keep my fingers crossed each and every cold season.

  5. My dd looks to be coming down with something too. This time of year tends to be rough for colds, traveling or not. Hugs for the sore throat.

  6. Oh, wow, that is *very* scary! I'm glad everything turned out okay. Horrifying that because of lack of insurance (even just out of state when you have it at home) you couldn't get help.

My son has been sick. Finally getting it over it...I was lucky to not catch it this time!
