Our Trip To The Zoo

Last Friday we went on a preschool field trip to the Potter Park Zoo. We all had an amazing time. I love this Zoo because it's small and not so overwhelming like the Detroit Zoo. Plus, you can get up close and personal with the animals. No, you can't touch them, but you're sure darn close. We even had the pleasure of enjoying a little presentation before we started our zoo walk. The kids got to look and touch the animals in the presentation. Though mommy was a little scared of the scaly ones. LOL! Hope you enjoy the photo's.

The little one and her friend. Starting our zoo trip.

Our presentation before the zoo walk.

Yikes, an Opossum! I have enough of this buggers in my yard. Didn't really need to come to the zoo to see it. LOL!

Not sure what this little guys was called, but he was sure cute.

Yucky Lizard thing! I wasn't about to touch this scaly reptile.

The Tiger was very cool. He kept making this crazy face. I think he had a tooth ache. Dang, look at those teeth.

The sweet Spider Monkey's. They were very entertaining.

My all time favorite. The fascinating Penguins.

Of course I had to take a picture of the Peacock that was running free. I was hoping and praying that he would open his wings, but no such luck.

The little one posing as the Tiger.

Now she's roaring like a Tiger.

I loved this Lama. She seemed to have an old soul. She was so sweet while I was feeding her. Feeding the Lama's was the highlight of my trip.

Can you say Madagascar? Remember these furry guys from the movie? These cute fur balls were so funny.

Anyone for a Camel ride? I swear this sweet old Camel was posing for me. Is that a smile?

Mommy Camel and baby Camel. Isn't that sweet?

And of course our countries bird. The Bald Eagle.

Thanks for spending some time at my place.

Big Hugs

  1. I love going to the zoo. It looks like you had a great time! When I was a toddler, I'd walk like a penquin. For some reason, I really liked watching the penguins.

  6. Finally, it's letting me make a comment lol. It sounds like you had a great day. I think that little animal is a baby possum (the same face structure). I get a giggle when I see kids with sunglasses. Lil Peanut always wants her's on when she's outside. I didn't wear them as a child and to this day I don't usually wear them. I know I should! Great post.
