Time For A New Camcorder

When our little girl was born we had this awesome camcorder that the hubby and I received as a wedding gift. We just loved all the features that it came with. We still have this camcorder, but I have to be honest it's a dinosaur now. My sister bought one of those fancy recorders that records on a CD. So, of course I had to borrow it. We've had the recorder for a few months now and I've recorded everything from school plays to our special family holidays. I'm definitely going to go start looking for my own. Any suggestions on which brands are the best? Any advice would be welcome.
