Learning To Adjust

Well, it's been two days since the hubby has been working out of town and the little one and I seem to be adjusting. Though, I wish I had a little more me time. Daddy isn't home, so I'm the little one's playmate all day long. I always look forward to when the hubby gets home from work at night and I get a few hours to myself. I guess the little one and I will just have to learn to adjust to our new life. The hubby has been laid off for three months now and had no choice but to find a job out of state. I don't think I'll know what to do with myself once I see that first paycheck. I really think that I should invest in some budgeting software. I wonder what the best home budget software is. I'll have to start doing some research. I'm going to have to save every extra penny that comes into this house in order to prepare for next winters lay off time. So a strict budget is definitely in my future.

  1. You'll be okay. We all suffer hardships some time in our lives and we learn to adjust. Right now, the money to live is most important. Just do what you have to do and when it is all over, then you can look back in amazement on what you did to survive. This too shall pass, right?! :) Hang in there, pally.

  2. No need to buy budgeting software. Just look at where you are spending your money, cut out things you can and stick to the plan, stay the course. Save your money! Keep track of what you spend your money on--just make a spreadsheet on your computer.

  3. Having a hubby out of town is tough...mine just works a couple miles away, but he goes out of town occasionally for a week at a time. Good luck!

  4. I've found that I seem to spend much less on groceries during the weeks it's just the little one and I - not putting on a 'real' dinner each night does save money :)
