How Many Kisses Do You Want Tonight Children's Book Review

By: Varsha Bajaj
Illustrated by: Ivan Bates
Publication Date: April 2004

The parents of a girl, a boy, and various animals ask their children how many kisses they want. There are never too many kisses or too many times to read this sweet bedtime story with tender illustrations to your little one. (Ages 2-4)

I purchased How Many Kisses Do You Want Tonight when my daughter was about a year old. She will be four years old in September and still enjoys mommy reading this book to her. I feel it also helps your child with the first steps in learning numbers and counting. I just fell in love with the illustrations. They are so adorable and full of life. As my daughter and I read the book I give her a kiss for each page we read. She giggles the entire time. This is a definite must read to you child. I would recommend this to my friends.

Little Quack's Bedtime Children's Book Review

By: Lauren Thompson
February 2005

Five little ducklings have never been more appealing than in this member-favorite author’s bedtime tale! With all the blinking, hooting, and swaying in the night, will Little Quack and his siblings ever get to sleep? Find out in this lullaby of a story where the dazzling glow of the moon drenches every page! (Ages 2-4)

This book has really come in handy when putting our daughter to bed. Sometimes she gets scared of shadows in her bedroom or strange noises in the house. This book helped ease her mind before bedtime. The book is totally adorable. You can't help but fall in love with all these little duckies. We enjoy it immensely.

On the Night You Were Born Book Review

The wonder of every person's uniqueness on the day he or she is born is beautifully told in lyrical text and dreamy, moonlit art in a book that will surely become a modern classic, making it as perfect to give to a newborn as to a graduate. (Ages 2 and up)

Publication: December 2006

This book is wonderful. My daughter seems to like it more and more every time we read it. She thinks the pictures of the baby are pictures of her when she was born. So cute!! The book makes her feel special and important. I just love this book and would recommend buying it for your child. I'm thinking of buying another copy myself as a baby shower gift. This book gets 5 stars out of a 5 star rating.

Put Me In The Zoo Book Review

This book brings me back to my childhood. It's just another one of those books you never forget as a child. Spot the leopard has lots and lots of polka dots. They're red, blue, orange, green and violet. Surely he deserves to be in the zoo. What must he do to prove that he is special enough for the zoo. I think this book is great for kids trying to learn their colors. My daughter never seems to get sick of this book. She loves it each and every time we read it. It really entertains her. It's definitely a book to have on your book shelf. You can find more great books like this one at Borders Books.

Corduroy Book Review

Corduroy is one of my favorite children's books. Originally published in 1967, Corduroy has captured the hearts of children all over the world. This is a heartfelt tale about the little bear in green overall’s who is searching for friends, a home, and someone to love. His dream finally comes true when a little girl uses all her piggy bank money to purchase him. This is a fantastic book. This is definitely a must read. ( Ages 4-6) I'll give it 5 stars out of a 5 star rating.

The Rainbow Fish Book Review

I love to read to my daughter. Every night before bed we read 3-4 books. Sometimes more if mommy has the energy. My daughter loves books. I'm also a big fan of children's books. It takes me back to when I was a kid. I remember my parents always reading to me. It's so important to read to your kids. Plus it's a great way to get in a snuggle and spend some quality time with them. To encourage parents to read to their children I'm starting a children's book review section. Enjoy Mom and Dad!

The Rainbow fish
By: Marcus Pfister
Publication Date: September 1992

Beautiful pictures that sparkle like a rainbow illustrate this international award winner. Rainbow Fish thinks he has everything because he is beautiful, but he soon realizes that he’s very lonely. None of the other fish will talk to him because he won't share his beauty with them. He learns that it's nice to share and when you share you make friends. (Ages 4-6)

I loved this book. It teaches kids that sharing with your friends is very important and it's not nice to be selfish. I also loved all the fantastic pictures. I'm going to give this book 4 out of 5 star rating.
