These are 13 of my all time favorite moments in my life.
1. Graduating from high school. God, that was a task to complete. I felt so free after high school. Yeh, no more school. Then I enrolled in college. Freedom didn't last long. LOL!
2. When I was 21 I was just checking out our local pet store and saw the love of my life and took him home. He was the cutest fur ball I had ever seen. He was a keeshond dog and I named him Whylie Coyote. He passed in 2005 and I miss him every day.
3. When I purchased my very first home. That was exciting!
4. When I purchased my very first car. It was a 1982 Pontiac Firebird. It was a sweet car. I use to love to try and race that thing. Fun!
5. When I purchased my very first new car and drove it off the car lot. That was a 1997 Black Grand Prix. Sweet!!
6. When I met my husband in 1996. Gosh, he was a cutie!! Still is.
7. When I got married in 1999. We had a really fantastic wedding.
8. Our wonderful vacation to the Keys in Florida in 2003. We did so many amazing things on the ocean. Snorkeled on the only living coral reef in the USA. I've never seen so much beauty all in one place. The ocean is an amazing place. We rented a boat and deep sea fished for 3 days and my most favorite memory was when I got to swim with the dolphins for my 34th birthday. It just blew my mind and I'll never forget that. Dolphins are the most gentle creatures. Thanks hubby for the great trip!
9. Our dream was to own a home in the country on a few acres of property. That dream came true in 2001. We purchased our newly built house on some property. I just couldn't get over that it was ours. We still live in this home and love it even more today.
10. When I got pregnant with our daughter. My husband was so over joyed. He actually cried. When I showed him the pregnancy test with the little pink plus sign he asked me if the little pink plus sign meant I was having a girl. What? I never laughed so hard as I did on this special day.
11. When I had our daughter in September of 2004. That was an amazing yet scary day.
12. When I watched my sweet baby walk for the very first time.
13. When I heard our daughter say for the first time. I love you too, Mommy! So sweet. I love to hear that every day.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on all that you've accomplished.
My 13 is shared now.
Aw, how sweet! And hey, your husband was right about it being a girl, even if he was a little confused about the pink plus sign ;)
ReplyDeleteI am with you on graduating high school, too. I started college two and a half months after high school! Oy!
Happy TT :)
I'm with you on the last one... my 3-yr old son doesn't get his l's right, so it's more "I yuv you" but it still counts ;)

ReplyDeleteWhen I first had my son I was a little more scared than ecstatic at first. I was overcome with the responsibility that I knew would never end. I'm glad you have a better perspective! And, I bet your Firebird was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list. Happy TT:)
ReplyDeleteI remember buying my first car in 1984. I also remember flipping it over on an icy road 18 days later. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteTo be grateful for life every step of the way, this is the lesson of your post to me!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! Happy TT
