The Spaghetti War

I use to be a clean freak. My house was always spotless and I liked it that way. That was until I had our daughter in 2004. I've really let the house work go. I'm too busy trying to keep up with our three year old and I simply lack the energy. Don't get me wrong I love when my house is clean but I just don't have the time anymore to clean every waking minute. These days I'll do anything to avoid cleaning the house. My three year old daughter is a huge spaghetti lover and we have it for dinner once a week. A few weeks ago I made our weekly spaghetti dinner. I left my daughter to start on hers as I ran to the restroom. I swear I was only in there for five minutes. When I returned to my daughter I was in shock. I couldn't believe my eyes. My daughter had taken her spaghetti, piece by piece and thrown it all over the kitchen including herself. There was spaghetti on the ceilings, curtains, walls, floors and even on our two dogs. Who by the way were in a totally different room. How did she throw that spaghetti so far? There wasn't one piece of spaghetti left on her plate. My three year old looked like a plate of spaghetti herself. I wanted to scream and cry all at the same time but she looked so cute with that little red face and all the spaghetti noodles hanging from her head. How could I get mad? Ugggg!! I really didn't want to clean this up. So I decided I wasn't going to, my dogs were going to be my maids for the day. I let both of my dogs out and they licked and licked until their little tongues couldn't lick anymore. They licked everything in sight. They were sure happy dogs that night. I'm sure in a few years I'll look back and laugh about this spaghetti throwing venture. I guess it's all part of having a toddler in the house. Speaking of cleaning I came across the new Dirt Devil AccuCharge Stick Vac and Hand Vac. It's the first cordless cleaning technology to earn Energy Star approval. In the past few years energy cost have sky rocket so my husband I started buying appliances that are Energy Star rated. We will doing anything to save a buck on our energy bills. We have been looking for a new hand vac and I think we found the one we need. The new AccuCharge technology will give you 70 percent in energy reduction when compared to other hand vacs. Gosh, you just can't beat that. That's an amazing savings. I think my husband and I are going to take a a shopping trip today and check out this new hand vac.
