A Post About Nothing

Okay, it's official. I have writers block. Is that possible, since I'm not really a professional writer. So now I'm writing about not having anything to write about. I know, it sounds crazy. Maybe the past few weeks with a sick child and all the whining and crying has finally drained all of my brain power. Ugggg!! Maybe it's the fact that I've come down with the same nasty cold my child has. It's hitting me hard this weekend. I'm so tired of winter weather and flu season. Gosh, is it over yet? I really need to find some constructive techniques to generate some writing ideas. I'd like to discover some new and fresh ideas planted deep in my brain. If that's possible. I'm just not feeling it today. Any suggestions girls and boys? I'm just feeling, well, nothing today. Maybe I should take a few days off to re-group and collect my thoughts. Yup, sounds like a plan.

Thanks for taking time to stop at my place today.

Hugs

  4. Thanks for your kind comments at my place. I totally get what you're saying about writer's block. I can't figure out why I get it when I'm not a writer either but sometimes I just have nothing. Memes help spur thoughts sometimes and I rely on those a lot because I just don't always have anything to say or the time to say it. I hope you all feel better soon!

  5. Don't worry, I'm sure inspiration will kick in again! There's nothing like a nasty cold to turn your brain to mush.

I often find inspiration during my runs and when I take a shower!

  6. Give yourself permission to write utter drek. Just put pencil to paper (so to speak) and get those words moving.

Creativity is a muscle. You need to wake it up and remind it how to move.

Hang in there -- and don't stress. You'll get your groove back.

  7. I sat down here to work on doing our taxes and have been blogging. I have scheduled a post for the next 7 days plus did 3 for today. I guess I really don't want to do my taxes. Do you still get the paper? I find lots of things in the paper to blog about. You don't blog a lot about you or family stuff and I find tons of that stuff to share. You watch a lot of movies and you don't review anymore, start that back up. I know you are trying of be a real writer but some time just a quick small post is just right. It will come back to you. I'm sure you have something to say about our wonderful president that will bug me! hahaha

  12. Being sick sure doesn't help. My blog has been pretty quiet lately too. It must be pretty much across the board because I hear this complaint a lot. Spring is just around the corner and with it comes lots of fresh new ideas. Hold on...it's almost here.

  14. I have had trouble finding words on my blog as well....I totally understand. Maybe my boys just aren't doing enough funny things or maybe it is really just writer's block. Regardless it's frustrating. Hope it works out for you!

  15. Sometimes we try to post too frequently, I think. Take a day or two and read some blogs. You'll get inspiration, I'm sure:)

  16. Hello! I want to apologize. I had to move my blog from crazymommy.today.com to amothersdevotion.blogspot.com
I moved your button as well just wondering if you could update to my new button too. (Sorry - it's available on my page.)

  17. I think we all just need a break every once in a while. Read a good book or watch some mindless t.v. Who knows maybe you will get some blog ideas out of it?
