Do You Know About Mesothelioma?
I have a friend that was recently diagnosed with Mesothelioma. It a rare disease that's is caused by exposure to asbestos. My friend worked in the asbestos removal field his entire life. I was so sad to hear this news. I had no idea about asbestos and how deadly it can be to a person. I did a little research and this is what a learned. There is between 2,000 to 3,000 new cases of mesothelioma diagnosed each year in the United States. It's more common in men then in women. My father in law has been struggling with mesothelioma as well. When he was first diagnosed, they gave him six months. He has gone through a lot and done many surgeries that may or may not have prolonged that time. The doctors are still not sure. They will still do chemo and radiation once he is strong enough. I am still very worried but I keeping praying and staying positive. Hugs to you and your friend.
