Is It True When You Turn 40 It All Goes Down Hill?

It's been a crazy year so far. I swear turning 40 has been a huge mile stone for me. I think 2010 has been the worst year of my life. My mom was diagnosed with cancer. I've been diagnosed with a serious health problem and will be needing surgery in the next few months. On of the symptoms of my health problem is hair loss. I wonder if there is a cure for hair loss. The hubby started working out of state due to the poor economy in our country. So I'm basically a single married mom these days, though I'm starting to adjust. All this drama in my life has really got me wondering if it's true what they say. That when you turn 40 it all goes down hill. It's been very hard, but I'm going to stay positive about life. I know things will start to get easier. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that after my surgery I will start feeling better. Keeping my fingers crossed.

  1. what surgery do you need to have? Roger had hyper thyroidism and just drank the radium to get rid of it. My niece and sister had their thyroid surgically removed - same results althought the surgery had a recoup period where the radium was non invasive. I'm going on like it's thyroid... guess I saw hair loss and went straight to thyroid. Hope all goes well and my take on aging is that the 50's are the best! :) So hang in there the best is yet to come.

  2. I think your whole out look will be better after you have your surgery. What you told me sounds like all the problems you have. So get it done and you will find out that 40 is wonderful :)

  3. I found my 40's to be the best years yet. I have never been so comfortable in my own skin. Okay, so after 45 the weird medical stuff starts popping up, but other than that--it's great. Have your surgery and start feeling better. Once you do that, everything else will follow. Keep up your chin, pally.
