Yippie Schools Out

It's that time of year for long warm summer days and no school. Today we start the first day of summer vacation. Our little one is so very happy. It was also nice to sleep in this morning. That is if you count 8 am as sleeping in. My little ones school has sent home an eight week course of home work. At the beginning of the school year she is suppose to hand it in to her new teacher. If she completes the entire eight week program she'll win a special medal. She seems so driven for the metal. She even started her summer home work a week early. I think it's great that the school has the kids participating in this academic program to keep their minds sharp over the summer break.
