Mean People Just Suck

It's been a while since I posted. So I thought I'd catch everyone up to speed. I think I'm just way to involved with that darn Face Book. I think I'm playing 4 different farm games now. You'd think I didn't have a life.

Things have been busy around here. Warm weather arrives and it seems like every weekend we have a party or BBQ to attend. Last weekend my little one was invited to a birthday party for one of her preschool classmates. We had an amazing time. I'm so glad that we met this family through my little ones preschool. I think we've made some wonderful friends.

My Dyson vacuum cleaner drama has finally come to an end. Basically Dyson will not pay for the damage to my two bathrooms and my daughters area rug. Strangely enough they did say we had some parts that needed fixing in the vacuum. The same parts that did the damage to my floor. Dyson just can't admit that their vacuum cleaner did the damage. Ugggg! It makes me so angry. There's just no justice for the little guy is there?

We received the vacuum cleaner via UPS last week. I did use it to vacuum our basement, which is still concrete flooring. I figure at least the vacuum can't hurt concrete, right? I won't be using it on any of my valuable flooring. I guess I'll just use it for the basement and to clean our trucks.

To top things off I got the most rude and vulgar comment on my Dyson Dilemma,Buyer Beware post. I was shocked and appalled. I know I have a family friendly blog, but I just had to publish this comment so that I could comment on the rudeness of this ignorant and mean individual. Reading the comment got me thinking that maybe the comment was made by someone affiliated with the Dyson Corporation. Check out the nasty comment and let me know what you think. My response is right below the vulgar comment. I feel that this comment is just plain crappy and to make it from an anonymous person is just totally cowardly. There's nothing like getting verbally abused on your own blog. Though I guess as a blogger you'll run into that from time to time. It just never occurs to me to be just plain mean to others, even out in cyber space. That just takes way to much energy.

Anyway we are all gearing up for the 4th of July weekend. It seems like we are going to have a large crowd out at my families lake house. It seems like everyday the guest list keeps on crowing. I'm really looking forward to Saturday. It's going to be an awesome time. I want to send warm and happy wished out to all my blogger buddies. I hope each and everyone one of you have a wonderful 4th of July weekend.

Hugs

  1. Wow, that comment was something. I have gotten some negative comments, but nothing like that. Eeek, I hope it isn't someone from Dyson. You would think they would have better vocabularies if nothing else.

  2. I know what it is like to be busy. It seems like there is always something going on.

Sorry to hear about Dyson. I bet you are correct in saying that the rude comment is from someone who works at Dyson or is affiliated with them. I can't believe they would stoop that low and have someone comment on your blog like that!

Thank you for the 4th of July wishes. I have no idea what we are doing for the holiday yet. I hope you have a wonderful 4th as well!

  4. I am soooo busy with Facebook lately too!!

That comment was pretty rude- although my bet would be that it is just some random spam comment. I used to get stuff like that all of the time until I added a captcha on my blog.

Hope you have a great 4th!!

  5. I once got hung up in Facebook but once they changed the layout I lost interest.... though I do love making flair. It's like a quick way to be creative!

  7. Hi Michelle

Sorry to hear about your experience with Dyson, I cannot comment or influence conversations that are going on. But it's a shame you're not happy.

I work for Dyson and want to just say that the rude comment hasn't come from Dyson. If you can trace an IP address back to Dyson, please let me know so that we can deal with the individual. It really isn't how Dyson people behave and so we'd need to deal with it accordingly if it is true.

    Best wishes,
Camilla dot rigby at dyson dot com

  9. Wow, sorry about the jerk w/the rude comment! People amaze me sometimes (in a bad way).
About the dyson, people I've talked to either love it or hate it...very strange.

  10. yikes. What ever happened to "if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all"? Have a great 4th of July weekend.

  11. That really was not a nice comment. It was nice that someone from Dyson comment to clear things up. I wouldn't of thought that a company would make a comment like that. You need to just delete those kind of comments and move on. Who ever is doing it gets their fun from upsetting people and you played right into their hands. Don't let things like this get to you!

  12. Ohmygosh - what the ? I was not expecting such a ridiculous comment as that. I can't believe someone (obviously a person with not much working right in their brain) would post that on your blog. I am glad you told me about Dyson - I will never buy one of their vacuum's!

On a brighter note, I hope you have a fun fourth of July weekend! Thanks for the comment about my dad's retirement!
