Adding To Our Fleet

It's been a long four years, but well worth the wait. Let me explain. Way back in 2006 we were in need of a new vehicle. The problem was that when we would turn in a vehicle it would always be the hubby's work trucks. So during the trade in process we could never get the amount we needed to pay off the entire loan, which left us with some serious negative equity. This negative equity would follow us form loan to loan. The hubby is in the construction field and he really puts his trucks through some serious beatings. Let me send out a huge waring for anyone who is stuck in this vicious cycle of debt. Don't do it. Try and get out of this terrible rut. We finally smarted up and decide the hubby would only be driving junkers to work. No new cars for him. This has been working out great for us.

Back in 2006 I decided it was time to put an end to this debt. We had to bite the bullet and suck it up. So we took on a gigantic truck payment of $502 per month for 4 years to pay this debt off and I'm proud to say we finally did it. Yippie!! Actually we paid it off three months early with the help of the Toyota dealership. The incentive was for us to buy/lease a new truck and they would pay the remaining lease payments off. I just want to jump for joy. I'm so happy. This was a huge victory for the hubby and I. Our huge lease payments have finally come to an end and it was time to turn the lease in. We've been looking around for a while for the best deals on new trucks and decided we were going to buy a Toyota Tundra. I just love it and it has so many more fun options to play with then our old truck.  The best part is that it has the smoothest ride.  I just wanted to share my happiness with everyone. Check out below my beautiful new shinny baby. Isn't she puuurrrty?  Click on the picture if you want to see a larger size.

Thanks for taking time to stop by today.

  1. Oh my yes, she is purdy!!! We had a little bitty Toyota Tacoma once upon a time. It was our first truck and we bought it because it was inexpensive. We should have bought a bigger one like yours!
